Body Lift for the weight loss patients
Life after gastric band surgery or bariatric surgery
A very common and often first area of concern involves the trunk - abdomen, back, and buttocks. Whether one has lost 50-100 lbs. or 300 lbs., there is often a dramatic excess of skin that results. There is now a medically safe way to reduce this skin and underlying subcutaneous tissue to improve looks, lifestyle, and self-esteem. To address this skin excess, often a circumferential (all around the belt line) body lift is performed. Removing this redundant skin flattens the abdomen, lifts the lateral thighs and buttocks, and tightens the lower back. It is really an extended "tummy tuck". This surgery usually requires an overnight stay of 1 to 2 nights. Return to routine activities in 2-4 weeks may be expected.Dr. Saretsky understands that each patient who has been successful in losing massive amounts of weight has individual needs. He works toward helping each patient improve self esteem and attain a positive body image. Specific areas that Dr. Saretsky can address include abdomen and back, buttocks, arms, thighs, breast, face and neck. Procedures for these areas can be combined or staged in a logical sequence to bring about optimal results. These areas would be addressed with the following procedures:
