Skin Care Dallas
Often our skin makes us appear older than we feel. The exposed skin on our face, chest and hands receives the damaging effects of our environment and our lifestyle, and shows signs of natural aging that are hard to disguise. We feel that education and a close relationship with a medical professional are important when deciding which skin procedures are right for you.
Laurie Wood, RN, directs our skin care program.
Laurie Wood, RN, directs our skin treatment program and has been part of Dr. Saretsky's team for 10 years. She works in tandem with Dr. Saretsky to evaluate your skin care situation and recommend a treatment plan that will address your specific needs and desires, your concerns and goals, and provide you with realistic expectations. Together, you will build an appropriate and beneficial skin treatment plan.
Although many of these procedures, such as Microdermabrasion, photorejuvenation, Chemical Peels, Sclerotherapy, Botox® and Restylane are offered at spas, storefront centers, and physicians' offices who are not Board-certified plastic surgeons, we believe it is important that whoever touches your face with a needle, laser or chemical be highly trained in facial musculature and facial contouring to minimize risks and achieve a beautiful, natural appearance.
We provide all treatments in our medical offices. Photorejuventation/IPL, uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), a non-invasive treatment that treats a wide range of facial concerns safely and effectively, erasing signs of skin damage with no down time. Microdermabrasion uses a hand-held instrument and fine crystals to literally polish the surface of the skin. Microdermabrasion is used to clarify aging skin, improve dull or uneven skin color, soften roughness, and smooth mild acne and minor skin abnormalities. Chemical Peels can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin imperfections, fade dark spots, and assist in clearing acne and blemishes. A chemical peel uses a chemical solution to peel away the skin's top layer. Sclerotherapy helps reduce the appearance of spider veins on thighs, calves and ankles.
We also offer Botox® Cosmetic and Restylane injections. A Botox® Cosmetic injection can help reverse facial imperfections by injecting a relaxing solution into the wrinkle's muscle, which will in turn ease the pull of the skin, thus smoothing the wrinkle. Restylane is a safe, natural filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds. Both Botox® and Restylane are safe and highly popular approaches to improving the signs of aging.
