Texas Skin Care Treatments Before and After Photos
Skin Care
Often our skin can make us appear older than we feel. The exposed skin on our face, chest and hands receives the damaging effects of our environment and our lifestyle, and shows signs of aging that are hard to disguise. We feel that education and a close relationship with a medical professional are important when deciding which skin procedures or products are right for you. We provide many treatments in our medical offices.More Info

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion (often referred to as Microderm) is a family of cosmetic procedures very popular in today in which the stratum corneum (dead outermost surface of the skin) is partially or completely removed by light abrasion, to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The procedure is not very painful and requires no anaesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin, but is less effective with sunken scars. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne, but must be repeated periodically to be effective.More Info
Chemical Peels
A chemical peel is a body treatment technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to slough off and eventually peel off. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Thus the term chemical peel is derived. Some types of chemical peels can be purchased and administered without a medical license, however people are advised to seek professional help from a plastic surgeon on a specific type of chemical peel before a procedure is performed.More Info
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a procedure used to treat blood vessels or blood vessel malformations (vascular malformations) and also those of the lymphatic system. A medicine is injected into the vessels, which makes them shrink. It is used for children and young adults with vascular or lymphatic malformations. In adults, sclerotherapy is often used to treat varicose veins and hemorrhoids. Sclerotherapy is one method, along with surgery, radiofrequency and laser ablation, for treatment of varicose veins and venous malformations. In ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, ultrasound is used to visualize the underlying vein so the physician can deliver and monitor the injection.More Info
Laser Hair Removal
Hair removal lasers have been in use since 1997 and the Food and Drug Administration approved it for "permanent hair reduction." Laser hair removal has become extremely popular because of its speed and efficacy, although some of the efficacy is dependent upon the skill and experience of the laser operator, and the choice and availability of different laser technology at the clinic which is performing the procedure. Some will need touch-up treatments, especially on large areas, after the initial set of 3-8 treatments.More Info
